The 1EdTech Japan Society will host “Learning Impact Japan 2026” online for five days, from Monday, July 27, 2026, to Friday, July 31, 2026. Under the theme “Technological Advancements and Transformations in Learning and Work Styles: Digital Ecosystems and AI,” the event will explore the future of education and learning in light of the latest technological innovations, as well as their potential impact on societal transformation.

During the event, an in-person conference will be held on Wednesday, July 29. The in-person conference will feature a keynote address by Curtiss Barnes, CEO of the 1EdTech Consortium, as well as invited lectures, sessions related to the Learning Impact Awards, exhibitions, and networking sessions.

At “Learning Impact Japan 2026,” we will share the significance and potential of technical standards—which are essential for the advancement of educational digital transformation—and discuss practices and challenges across a wide range of learning domains, including elementary and secondary education, higher education, and lifelong learning. Throughout the event, we will offer a wide range of sessions, including invited talks by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and the Digital Agency, panel discussions on topics such as AI and credentials, hands-on seminars for technologists and developers, and reports on practical implementations at educational institutions.

We also aim to position this event as a networking opportunity for stakeholders, including member organizations of the 1EdTech Japan Society. By providing opportunities for participants to exchange views on products and services, research and practices, and potential future collaborations, we hope to bring together education professionals, government agencies, companies, universities and research institutions, and related organizations under one roof to explore the future of digital infrastructure for learning and technical standards together with all of you.
